The authorities to combat corporate monopoly in Poland submitted a complaint against Microsoft in the European Commission. The charge is that the corporation violates competition law. In Poland all laptop sold only with the operating system Windows Vista.
Anti-monopoly offices in Poland reported that they had evidence of cooperation "under the table" between Microsoft and the manufacturers and traders with portable computers.
Already 10 manufacturers have supported the anti-monopoly authorities have recognised as that Microsoft Corporation provides suggestions and circumstances on which manufacturers and traders of laptop, can not reject.
Poland explained that these measures must be taken and the fight against corporate monopoly should not be underestimated. Anti-monopoly service said that except in Poland, Microsoft will probably use the same strategy used in many other countries in Europe.
Over the years the total amount of fines that the European Commission imposed on the software company is about 2.5 billion dollars. Dozens are common charges against Microsoft specifically for breach of competition law.
Complaints against Microsoft not only in Europe. In the U.S., Taiwan and South Korea kept consequences against the corporation. |
