Enel acquired a company in Belgium producing gas turbines |

Italian energy company Enel, through its subsidiary Enel Investment Holding, acquired 80% of Marsinel Energie (Belgium) - a company which is developing a project for a plant with gas turbines with a combined cycle power with 420 MW, reported by Enel. Seller of the package is Belgian steel group Duferco.
Purchased shares were valued at 32 million euros, of which Enel already has paid 19.2 million euro to Duferco. The remaining 12.8 million will be paid in two instalments in 2009 and 2010, Works on the project should start in July 2008 and be completed in early 2011, as total investment will reach approximately 290 million euro. When complete, the mill will produce about 2,5 TWh of electricity a year for the needs of the Belgian market. |
