A record number of tourists in Japan for the first half |

National Organization of the Japanese tourism (JNTO) communicate , that for the period January - June, Japan was attended by a record number of foreign tourists.
For the same peroid of 2007 attendance was 10% lower and the current number of tourists is 4.33 million people, which happens visitors to exceed 4 million.
According JNTO increase the visits of foreign tourists in Japan due to a partnership with the organization of travel agencies and air companies weakness of the Japanese yen against Western currencies and organizing various promotional campaigns in different areas of the country that are associated with different traditions, art and entertainment.
Statistics show that the most numerous visits are asians - 1.32 million south koreans, 723 000 Taiwan, from China 499 000, 267 000 tourist from Hong Kong and 11 200 thailand.
A Western countries most numerous visits by Americans remain 401 300 people, after their number are in British, Canadians and French. |
