Russians buy precious coins |

Savings Bank of Russia in 2008 plans to increase four times the sale of coins from precious metals among the population in 2008, announced the press service of the biggest Russian bank, quoted by RIA Novosti.
"Against the background of crisis phenomena of international financial markets significantly increased demand from customers of the products of the Bank of precious metals. Highest growth was observed in the operations of the market in coins of precious metals " - says the message.
For the first four months of 2008 under the programme "World Coins" through "Sberbank Rossii" are sold over 450 thousand coins with a total mass of 8.9 tonnes, of which 1.9 tons of gold and silver 7 tons. This exceeds twice indicator like last year.
Now about 70% of the coins of precious metals is for buying gifts, 15% for investment and 15% of the coins for collectors.
 In Russia the most seek gold coins investment "Victorious", as only four months Sberbank made 220 thousand pieces.
Because of the limited series of Russian coins, however, most buyers in Russia use the services of foreign contractors, which Russian side is not justified.
Indeed, many of the most sold coins are joint projects of Sberbank and foreign partners. Such are the coins with images of Russian poets, a favorite cartoon characters - and the creator of the famous AK - 47 Mikhail Kalashnikov. As seen from the picture, Russian scientists also not ignore.
