Top Cities with most foreign business companies in the World

Tokyo is the city with most foreign companies, as its operating corporations from the top 50 of 500 - they are global companies in the magazine Fortune.

Second is Paris, hosts the 26 foreign companies. New York among London occupy third place, both cities are headquarters, 22 foreign companies, and Beijing is the fourth place with 18. Foreign business companies in Tokyo, Paris, New York, 22 foreign business companies in LondonThe increased protectionism and the weakening of the dollar could endanger future investments of employers in New York, the survey shows that the city lost advantage regarding the influence of other world financial centers.

Nearly half of foreign employers in the U.S. intend to reduce its involvement there, or to refrain from new investments, because seeing better opportunities in other countries to comment in the survey.

In 2006, Foreign investment in New York were a total of 58 billion dollars.

Business activities registered in New York and controlled by foreign companies have provided employment of 193 thousand people in 2004, which is more than one of every 20 jobs in the city.

The report included only companies in which foreign owners have majority ownership and create jobs, pay salaries and generate profits.
